Acura TL vs Lexus ES 350 04/01/2011
Honda and Toyota have always been chief rivals, and that competition has even spilled over to the brand's respective Acura and Lexus luxury brands. As an example of that, we compared the Acura TL with the Lexus ES 250 to determine which was the better vehicle.

These two cars are priced relatively close together, with the ES 350 at $36,025 and the TL at $35,605. Both cars come with a 6 year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty.

In terms of performance, the Acura TL holds a slight edge, producing 280 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. The Lexus can only muster up 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The TL holds a slight edge on fuel economy as well at 20/29, beating Lexus' 19/27.

The interior is also very close between these two models. The TL gets heated seats standard, but the ES 350 comes with keyless ignition. All in all, we like the Lexus' options better, as it has a few a la carte offerings, like a premium surround sound system, that the TL can't match.

In the end, the TL is the winner, as it's slightly cheaper and more powerful.
