2011 Scion tC is completely redesigned from older models 12/20/2010
The Scion tC, the sports coupe produced by Toyota's youth-oriented subsidiary marque, is getting a complete redesign for the 2011 model year.
According to Edmunds, the new 2011 tC will feature small changes to the outside of the car, new amenities in the interior and a more powerful engine under the hood. While the 2.4-liter engines of the older models of the tC only produced 161 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, the larger upgraded 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine of the 2011 tC boosts these figures to 181 hp and 173 lb-ft. Drivers can also choose between a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The car also features new 18-inch wheels with standard all-season tires, stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bars, more aggressive dampers, larger brake rotors and an electrically assisted steering system.
Inside the car, drivers will find a slight increase in space over older models of the Scion tC. New amenities include a standard panoramic sunroof, knee airbags and a choice between three different sound systems for the car.
